Honest Protection Information

Warranty & Longevity

Clear, straight answers about what's covered, what's not, and what you can realistically expect from every service we offer. No fine print surprises.

A Note on Warranties vs. Longevity

Not everything we offer comes with a formal warranty — and we'd rather be upfront about that than make promises we can't back up. Paint Protection Film has real warranties. Ceramic coating, RV coating, and marine coating have longevity expectations — meaning how long they'll realistically perform with proper care — but not a formal warranty in the traditional sense. We'll always tell you which is which.

Lockdown Layer Paint Protection Film
Manufacturer Warranty — Cars, Trucks, RVs
6
Year Warranty

Lockdown Layer is our in-house PPF option — the same great protection without the big name marketing built into the price. It carries a 6-year manufacturer warranty and performs excellently for the vast majority of drivers.

What's covered:

  • Yellowing or discoloration under normal conditions
  • Cracking, peeling, or delaminating
  • Hazing or loss of clarity
  • Staining from environmental contaminants

What's not covered: Physical damage from accidents, improper washing, neglect, or automatic car washes with brushes.

Note: No physical warranty card is issued — the warranty is tracked and backed by the manufacturer. Contact us with any warranty concerns.

Ceramic Coating
Longevity Expectation — Not a Formal Warranty
5
Year Longevity

Ceramic coating does not come with a traditional warranty — and any shop claiming otherwise should be questioned. What we do offer is an honest longevity expectation based on our experience and the products we use.

With proper care and maintenance, most of our ceramic coating applications perform excellently for up to 5 years in Arizona's climate. Some last longer. Some don't make it that far if they're not maintained properly.

Longevity is maximized by:

  • Washing with pH-neutral soap only
  • Avoiding automatic car washes with brushes
  • Using Front Line Chemicals maintenance products between washes
  • Keeping the vehicle out of prolonged harsh conditions where possible
Generally up to 5 years with proper maintenance
RV Ceramic Coating
Longevity Expectation — Not a Formal Warranty
5
Year Longevity

Our RV-specific ceramic coating carries the same honest longevity expectation as our automotive coating — generally up to 5 years with proper maintenance. RVs stored outside in Arizona's intense sun will see more wear than those kept covered.

RV PPF (Lockdown Layer or Suntek) applied to the front cap and impact zones does carry its respective warranty — see above for details.

Generally up to 5 years with proper maintenance
Marine Ceramic Coating
Longevity Expectation — Not a Formal Warranty
5
Year Longevity

Our Undrdog marine ceramic coating is built for the demanding conditions of Arizona lake use — UV, mineral-rich water, and outdoor storage. With proper care, most customers see excellent protection for up to 5 years.

Longevity varies based on how often the boat is used, how it's stored, and how well it's maintained between uses. We'll provide full care instructions when we return your vessel.

Generally up to 5 years with proper maintenance

Why Maintenance Matters

Every protection system — whether warranted or not — performs significantly better when properly maintained. Think of it like tires: they come with a mileage rating, but if you don't rotate them, they won't make it that far.

We developed Front Line Chemicals specifically to make maintaining your protection easy and affordable. The right soap, the right detail spray, the right ceramic maintenance spray — all available through us.

Warranty Questions

Common questions about our warranties and longevity expectations

A warranty is a formal, documented promise that a product will perform as described — and if it doesn't, the manufacturer will repair or replace it. A longevity claim is an honest expectation based on experience and testing — it tells you how long the product should last under normal conditions, but it's not a formal guarantee. PPF has real warranties. Ceramic coating has longevity expectations. We're upfront about which is which.

Contact us directly at (480) 203-1596 and we'll walk you through the process. As a certified Suntek installer, we handle warranty claims on your behalf. Don't attempt to remove or modify the film yourself before contacting us — this can void the warranty.

Since ceramic coating doesn't carry a formal warranty, there's nothing to transfer — but the coating itself stays on the vehicle. A buyer benefits from the remaining longevity of the coating regardless. For PPF, Suntek warranties may be transferable — contact us for specifics on your situation.

Automatic car washes with brushes can damage both PPF and ceramic coatings — and yes, damage caused by brush car washes is typically not covered under warranty. Touchless car washes are generally acceptable, but hand washing with pH-neutral soap is always the best option for maintaining both the protection and the warranty.

Reduced water beading over time is normal as a ceramic coating ages — it doesn't mean the coating has failed. The UV protection and chemical resistance are still working even when the hydrophobic effect diminishes. Using a ceramic maintenance spray like our Blue Line Shine can restore the beading effect. If you're concerned about your coating's performance, give us a call and we'll assess it.
