Gold Canyon is desert on three sides. Open ground means blowing dust, US-60 means rock at speed, and there is very little shade anywhere — a combination that ages a finish quickly.
US-60 through Gold Canyon is fast and open, and the desert either side of it supplies the grit. Front ends out here take more than the mileage would suggest.
Arizona has some of the highest UV exposure in the country and most vehicles here live outside. Coating adds a UV-resistant layer that slows fade, chalking and oxidation considerably.
Mineral-heavy water dries into deposits that etch unprotected clear coat, and monsoon season layers grit on top of it. A coated surface sheds both far more easily.
A chipped front end or a faded hood costs at trade-in, and a repaint shows on Carfax as non-factory paint. Protection is cheaper than either.
Ceramic handles UV, chemicals and washing. Film handles physical damage. Most Gold Canyon customers end up with film on the front end and coating over everything.

Mobile detailers will come to Gold Canyon. We do not, and it is not laziness — it is that a coating applied in a driveway is a coating applied badly.
Reveals every swirl before anything is applied. Work done in natural light misses defects that then get sealed under the coating permanently.
Every panel measured before we touch it, so we know how far the paint can safely be corrected. Mobile operators do not carry one.
Rockers, lower doors and valances come up to eye level — the areas where damage actually starts and where kneeling in a driveway falls short.
Coating needs controlled temperature and humidity to bond and cure. A Gold Canyon driveway in July is not a controlled environment.
